Use and disclosure of personal data and purpose limitation
SCHROEDAHL collects and uses your personal data for purposes such as the technical administration of the websites, for customer support, contract processing and for product surveys only to the extent required. Transfers of personal data to state institutions and authorities occur only within the scope of compulsory national regulations. Our employees and business partners are obliged to maintain confidentiality.
Data Protection/Security
SCHROEDAHL uses technical and organisational security measures to protect your data managed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction and against access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continually improved in keeping with technological developments.
1. Access Data (Server Log Files)
The site provider collects data about access to the website based on our legitimate interest and stores this as "server log files" on the website server. The following data is logged:

- Browser and operating system used
- IP address used
Server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Storage is for security reasons (e.g., to investigate cases of abuse). If data must be retained for evidentiary purposes, it is excluded from deletion until the incident is finally resolved. Since the collection of data is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website, the user has no option to object.
2. Cookies

4. Data Processing for Job Applications
If you send us an application (e.g., via e-mail), we process your personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes from interviews) to the extent necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. Legal basis: § 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act - initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, and, if applicable, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent). Duration of storage: In the event of a rejection, we store your data for a maximum of 6 months after completion of the application process (to defend against claims under the General Act on Equal Treatment - AGG). If you have consented to be included in an applicant pool, storage will continue until you withdraw your consent.
5. Information for Business Partners (Customers & Suppliers)
In the context of cooperation with our business partners, we process personal data of contact persons at customers, interested parties, suppliers, and partners. Purpose: Communication, processing of orders/contracts, accounting, and fulfillment of legal obligations. Data categories: Name, business contact details, job title, contract-relevant billing, and payment data. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (contract fulfillment) and Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR (legal obligations, e.g., commercial and tax law). Duration of storage: Data is deleted after the expiry of the statutory retention periods (usually 6 or 10 years according to the German Commercial Code HGB / Tax Code AO).
6. YouTube
Our website uses plug-ins provided by the website operated by Google: YouTube. The sites are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This transmits to the YouTube server which pages of our website you have visited. If you have logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to link your surfing habits directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
